Evergreen Ivy
Eve`s innocent climb towards light
or death
Any place is your place:
thh windblown rock
the ancient ash
the garden fence
the concrete blocks
coated by your green feathers
wiggly-worm without death
Why didn`t you become a tree?
Couldn`t you bear
your green stream being interupted
by the changing of seasons?
Was the wintersleep too long
for your beeing?
Where you naughty in the garden of Eden
corageously climbing cliffs
denied you by whom?
You seem to seek the struggle before you bloom
bearing white crosses
over oval leaves in wintertime
Lower down
you played with
triangles and pentagrams
echoing another being
of self-willed inobedience
And then
your black berries
sound on every continent
like us
