I find that in many countries and cultures there is no respect for elders. After travelling in southern Europe I found that it was more respect for elders than in northern Europe.

In many northern countries the elders are institutionalized and have very little contact with their families.

Can anybody explain this?

I find that we in northern Europe want to institutionalize everything from child care to retirement care. It seems to me that the people who elect the politicians who make these decissions want it this way.

I have for example stoped listenng to the radio and watching tv since I found the target for these media is the young people.

More respect for the elders in northern Europe, the trend I have seen hurts my soul.

Peace and love to the old souls.

In Stockholm where my soul is the streets are controlled by young street gangs which make the older souls afraid of going out in the dark.

Peace and love.
