This universe is very dynamic. Nothing is static here. What appears to be static is an illusion. Everything is dynamic. Everything is moving, growing, changing, changing, constantly changing.
The foolish one uses the spiritual power to gain material comfort.
An intelligent one uses the material world to rise high in the spirit.
When you transcend the intellect you allow yourself to be used by the spirit.
One who is awake neither uses anything nor loses anything.
Become intelligent, transcend and wake up.
Don't search for God here and there---you will never be able to find Him. Know that all that is, that will be, and that was, is God. The ocean is God. If the wave goes to search for where the ocean is, will the wave find it? It cannot.
When there is love without respect, you don't take anything very serious. When there is only respect without love, then the nearness is lost. Something wonderful is lost; something beautiful is lost. But a devotee, a disciple, is a thorough combination of both these, respect and love. That is Divine Love.
People go on asking questions. What type of questions? Many times they have their own answers. They only want to verify, to get their answer through your mouth! That is what people are up to.
Behind every misery, there is a hope. The fuel for miserable people is hope... Foreseeing happiness sometime in the future, makes one miserable right now. Having desire for some pleasure in the future, either in the world or in heaven, one misses the boat.
The mysteries of this world can never be fully unfolded. The more you unfold it, the more mysterious it becomes. And that is why it is beautiful.
If you find somebody who has misunderstood: educate and ignore. These are two words you must remember. Just ignoring is not good; that's arrogance. "I'm just trying to educate and see whether they have got it," is also no good. Because then you put all your strength to make them understand---that never happens. So, these two should go hand-in-hand. You should educate and ignore.
Happiness is an attitude. If you are used to being unhappy, even in the best of situations you'll still grumble and be unhappy. Nothing can make you happy in the world.
Longing, or pain, or hurt is part of love. Experience it, be with it, go through it---then your love becomes so mature.
The love that you have for objects for people, for things, and places, and items is not different from Divine Love. It’s not opposite to Divine Love... I tell you the same love is transformed, becomes Divine Love.
By self-study, by observing, by being hollow and empty, you become a channel---you become a part of the Divine. You are able to feel the presence of the Divinity. All the different angels and devas, all these different forms of our consciousness, start blossoming.
Some feeling came into you, unpleasant feeling, and you said, "Should not come, it should not come!" Doing that, you are resisting it. When you resist, it persists. Just observe. See, "Oh!" Go deep into it. Dance, stand up on your feet and dance. Be intoxicated; move intoxicated.
You are the source of enthusiasm---undying enthusiasm, ever new enthusiasm, ever new spirit.
Spirituality is a celebration, a continuous celebration.
Life is nothing to be very serious about. Life is a ball in your hands to play with. Don't hold on to the ball.
Though your experiences of silence, of transcendence, of the Self, of the Divine are only for a few seconds, a few minutes, a few hours, maybe---but believe in them. Believe in them. That is your true nature.
