Dogonene er en stamme i Mali som har fascinert forskerne i mange år. Blant annet har de en planet som ikke er synlig for det blotte øye (Sirius B) sentralt i sin kosmologi. I mytene deres sies det at denne planeten inneholder et metall som 1000 menn ikke ville klare å løfte selv den minste bit av. Dette er eldgamle myter som inneholder detaljer moderne vitenskap kan bekrefte..

The third star in the system is called emme ya, the sun of women. It is four times lighter in weight than po tolo, and it travels in the same direction around sigi tolo, but in a larger orbit. It moves much more quickly through space, so that it takes the same amount of time to complete an orbit around sigi tolo. Emme ya has a satellite or planet of its own, called the Goatherd or the star of women. There are drawings on the four-hundred-year old sigui mask that represent this cosmology.
Jeg ramlet over disse tingene på internett. Jeg sitter ikke inne med noe særlig kunnskap om disse folkene, bortsett fra disse små "overskriftene" om deres kosmologi. Det er gjort alle slags spekulasjoner om disse mysteriene, hvordan "primitive folk" kan sitte på slike kunnskaper. Men hvis universet er innvendig såvel som utvendig, og Afrika er heksekunstenes og menneskehetens vugge.. Interessant.
