Hi Fagerhjul,

I believe Shamans and the faith in the Norse Gods can do alot for the world. I was able to take me out of the Trollwall for instance.

There is much more to do in Norse Shamanism.

Have been with some Nornorns and was given Odens pen, its in silver and made by the dwarfs. Im able to write again.

The Vikings party realy hard and for a long time.

I meet a Viking who is going to teach me play the Norse Shaman drum.

The drum will bring more enlightment to my journey.

For Christmas I wish you would write either in Norwegian, where we talk about Norner (Nornene):

http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norner

or Swedish, where they are called Nornor (Nornorna):

http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nornor

or if you still prefer broken English, the term is simply Norns:

I wonder, wonder, wonder; Are there any (historical) proves at all, that the vikings/norse used norse? shaman drums?
(I do not mean the same-drum)
Just curious.

Men eg vil berre vite,i ein historisk kontekst,om vikingane/germanarane el. kva ein vil kalle dei, nyttade trummor før att indusera trance før att resa. :)

:) A nice yellow man - en snäl gul mann.

I need to confirm with Passopps material but I believe the Norse came here 10.000 years ago and that the Samis came here 30.000 years ago.
GjenopprettetMedlem
Does anybody know who came here first. It must have been a lonely person.
GjenopprettetMedlem
Both the tribes probably arrived here much earlier than believed, and from different directions.
When the ice melts down,we will find out more of the causes.
Tror jag :D

It's much, much, much more complicated than that. Hundreds of doctoral dissertations, and thousands of books and articles in numerous languages have discussed these questions for more than 400 years.

Archeology confirms there were people(s) here 10.000 years ago. Some groups might have succumbed in some areas, and a thousand years might have passed before new people(s) came around there.

Research today seems to agree that Norsemen and Sami as such, with distinguishable ethnicities that have remained to this day, did not come from anywhere, but gradually developed and formed themselves here in Fenno-Scandianavia and the Kola Peninsula. It's perfectly meaningless to put our modern labels onto people who lived 10.000 or more years ago, even if they might be the ancestors of many of us.

Given time and better health, I might return with some comprehensible modern research material. Until then, good night!

Men menneska, dei må jo ha komme nokon stad frå,før istidene?
GjenopprettetMedlem
Thanks Passopp for your wisdom and your well read mind, however, I need to use some numbers in my mind, so I will use 10 000 years for the Norse and 30 000 years for the Samis.

FT, how sure are yur sources on 20 000 years for the Finns.

Thanks in advance.
GjenopprettetMedlem
Er du vill? Det fans vel ikkje samar for 30.000 år sidan?
Ikkje vis Passopp meiner kulturen har utvikla seg over tid,i same område?
Det var litt mykje is for 30.000 år sidan. Hadde reinen mose å ete på,overhodet?
Nei,dette vil eg vite meir om...
GjenopprettetMedlem
Ok, FT. What numbers should I use to get my mind in some chronological order.

Thanks in advance.

Odin is ageless, atleast that was what he told me. He can shift shape any time.

The INWAZ or ING rune means sexality. This is how important sexuality is in the Norse Shamanism. Its a rune for it.
