"Vakker Forvandling":

They went home as analphabetic fundamentalistic muslims to their families with some knowledge of the western world.

:I what knowledge? Did they go back to Somalia you mean?
Next time I meet a muslim youth or adult, what do you think I should ask them about?
Shall I talk about shamanism?
I did this with an african man last year,(who turned out to be a converted christian priest). Talked compassionate about the local forest spirits, and he looked at me as i was a retarded, fucking witchdoctor!
He still does.

No they are still in Sweden living on all the support they get from the swedish government.

I suggest you talk about things you have in common with this priest, a discussion on shamanism have to come up at a later stage in your relationship.

It is very few christians who have an understanding of shamanism.

Well,I tend to talk fast, and I felt we had something in common. Spirituality, maybe?
But really,in some churches-services I have joined (almost had to drag me there),I`ve seen clear shamanism outfold.Just under the surface. It thrills me!
Maybe broadminded of me..? But there even is a lot of thing we do not understand about ourselves.
GjenopprettetMedlem
From my past experiences as a christian, I can only find that a priest will understand that a shaman has walked the spiritual path and nothing more.

Christian priest are most often fundamentalists and have no interests in shamanism.

I suggest you try to talk with people who have an open mind about faiths.

I meet people from jehovas daily on the street and politely accept the literature they hand out.

Went to a jehovas meeting once to find out that they only wanted me to pay for some courses to become a member.

I also found out that I know more about the bible than most of their members.
GjenopprettetMedlem
How can that be? I mean, that you know the bible so well?
I mean, its just a book, and we read books quite different?

From Wiki:
Jehovah's Witnesses consider the entire Bible (following the Protestant canon, hence excluding the deuterocanonical books) to be the inspired word of God, historically and mostly literally true.[76]They believe the Bible also uses symbolism, parable, figures of speech, and poeticism.[77] They do not consider themselves to be fundamentalist.[78][79][80]

Because of the intellectual expounding of their interpretation of the Bible, they have been termed a rational religion.[81][82]

Jehovah’s Witness consider their religion the sole visible channel of Jehovah, and that the Bible cannot be understood without the assistance and guidance of what they call Jehovah’s visible organization.[83]

I once went to a baptist meeting and met a preacher who claimed he was a prophet. I dont believe in christian prophets so I neve went back.

I learned, however, from an older baptist how to speak in prayers.

Piece and love.

While I was a christian I used to read the bible.
GjenopprettetMedlem
What direction of christianity do you derive from then?
And wasn`t feelings involved when you read it,out of your heritage?

No way!
But the thing is that this man grew up partly in a animistic tradition before the missionaries took over...he said it himself as an little introduction.
I could also feel his ancestors strenght.
We talked for about 45 minutes.
Maybe theese people will feel more at home here, if they can use norwegian nature to enforce naturespirits again?
Ut paa tur,aldrig suur,
GjenopprettetMedlem
What happened during these 45 minutes? Did you start arguing or did you find a common ground you could share?
GjenopprettetMedlem
As i said,he looked and still looks strange at me. But at least I have shaken his opinion about the west abit, and even if the result is not outstanding positive right now,I think of myself as a good girl.
I do not think he see me as the devil, but just strange.
GjenopprettetMedlem
I just spoke to a friend of mine who has not realy defined what he believes in but he has an open mind to most things and even he thinks shamanism is a little strange, so you are not alone in being defined as strange.

Piece and love to you strange one.

It sais in the swedish translation of 2000 in the bible that God creates the world. They have changed it from created the world to creates the world due to the fact that God is with us daily in our lifes.

God bless you all.

What about the famous six days-job? :surprised: i thought he left us to play on,after that...

When I read the koran I found that Muhammed mostly wrote love letters to Allah. The rules that most muslims follow are not stated in the koran but have been added later on by the leaders of islam in order to control the population of islam.

Allah Ashbar as they say in islam.

Piece and love.

The first chapter in the book of moses was just poetry to me.
GjenopprettetMedlem
If jesus was messias Gods only son, why did he then die on the cross. A wise man does not die on a cross, he lives on to be a wiser old man.

Peace and love

Ps. We are all the children of God and the energies in the universe.

ja man kan jo si at Moses levde også et liv som ga han kunskap
men de 10 bud er fine leveregler sånn jeg ser det  ;)
GjenopprettetMedlem
I agree, most of the western laws are built based on these commandments that moses brought to the world, however for me the most important part of the bible is stated, as I said before, in the new testament where jesus added a new commandmet which states that you should love God and others.

Peace and love to you Bast.

I read something similar about reiki healing recently. It stood there black on white, that many of the so-called
"highest grades or master grades",are just something some-one has added later, to earn more money.
for owb gain.
Is this correct?

I once talked to a christian priest who insisted that jesus sits on the right hand side of God. I wounder were they sit when God is all around us as part of the energies in the universe.

Peace and love.
GjenopprettetMedlem
I choose not call it reiki but soul healing.
